Our vision was to create an affordable, easy to use and install digital display for use with modified vehicles. It became so much more!

PowerTune digital dashes are compatible with any vehicle using the following ECU:

 Haltech - Link/Vipec - AEM - Motec - ECU Master - Megasquirt 2/3 - MaxxECU - Hondata S300 + KPRO - Fueltech - Motorsport Electronics - Microtech C series - Adaptronic - Emtron - EMS Engine Management Systems - Wolf - Apexi Power FC - Nistune/Nissan Consult V1 (Skyline, Silvia/180-200-240SX, Micra), Emerald K3-K6

Stock ECU support over high speed canbus (not slow OBD2!):

- GM: Any General Motors vehicle 2006 onward (LS, Duramax ect)
- Toyota GT86/BRZ/FR-S
- Ford Falcon/Territory stock ECU: BA/BF/FG/FGX 6cyl + 8cyl
- Nissan 350/370Z
- Subaru WRX 2008-2015
- Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X

PowerTune Digital is a digital dash display that shows real-time ECU data from any vehicle with a supported aftermarket ECU or that has a supported stock ECU that is canbus compatible. PowerTune can display real-time ECU data such as speed, RPM, temperatures, sensor states and more.
PowerTune Digital dash also doubles as a data logger and includes GoPro integration to overlay ECU data onto GoPro footage. PowerTune gives you the ability to see vehicle performance and statistics in real-time.

Real-time digital display:Our HD display shows real-time ECU data, sensor outputs without any delay or lag. Up to four active display modes customisable to your desired outputs, sensors and colours.
Easy to install:PowerTune Digital plugs directly into your ECU port via an interface cable that we provide with your kit (excludes Apexi FC, requires FC Hako/Datalogit cable). Power and ground are connected to any 12V source as the power supply will automatically step down to 5V.
Vehicle Management:Ability to set warnings and ranges for any output displayed
Data logging:With a simple touch of the settings, the unit can simultaneously log your ECU data and output this to CSV or XLS spreadsheets for later review and analysis
Customisation:Adjustable RPM limit/adjustable shift lights, customisable layouts, artwork, boot videos and logos to only name a few!
GPS mapping:Overlay your position onto track maps to see current location including a lap timer accurate to 1/10th of a second (updating at ten times per second/10hz). GPS and/or wheel speed sensor based odometer included.
GoPro integration:With full GoPro integration, you have the ability to overlay your ECU data onto your GoPro footage including speed, RPM and in some cases throttle position.
Accuracy:With the data coming directly from the ECU, the risk of old, unreliable gauges showing inaccurate information is reduced. The display does not send any data or instructions into the ECU, so there is no risk of damage or interference.
Drag timer:  Virtual drag timer showing an on screen time-slip of your 1/4 and 1/8 mile running data

Most of the magic happens in our custom built software. We have spent several years developing and testing our package and have the custom built hardware to meet the requirements for the job at hand. We have written protocols to talk to major aftermarket ECUs, powered by a quad-core onboard processor and supplying an adapter interface to plug directly into your ECU, after wiring in your power and ground the unit is plug and play and ready to go. All you need to do is plug the cable into your ECU and connect your power.

  • PowerTune Digital software licence and ALL ECU communication packs (Additional ECU support is not sold separately! :)
  • PowerTune Digital display
  • Protective case for display and components
  • 1-3 metre 12V to 5V 3amp vehicle wire-in power supply
  • CAN cable to connect the dash to your ECU
  • 12-month warranty
  • Optional mounting bracket and GPS module
Q - Can I run PowerTune Digital on my Android/Samsung/iPad/Laptop/Windows tablet?
A - No. PowerTune Digital is demanding software and requires a specific, custom-built Linux environment and paired hardware to perform effectively.
Q – How hard is it to install?
A – PowerTune Digital plugs directly into your ECU via supplied cable, power and ground are wired in to any 12V source of your choice. This is typically a ten minute job. We can supply a cigarette lighter charger as opposed to hard-wired if desired.
Q - How is this different to other software packages available on the app store/play store?
A – PowerTune Digitals software and hardware environment have been built from the ground up to ensure professional grade performance at an entry level price point. Almost all existing software packages only support the OBD2 protocol and do not support aftermarket ECUs. There may often also be noticeable lag/performance issues using OBD2 due to the slow nature of how data is requested using this protocol, whereas PowerTune Digital dash displays data in real time via CANBUS and is a fixed solution that can easily be mounted in a variety of locations across an assortment of vehicles. We are the middle ground between a cheap tablet solution and a several thousand dollar motorsport dash.
Q - What sensor outputs will I be able to see?
A – For CAN based aftermarket ECUs, we can display almost anything that can be wired into the ECU and also what the ECU is doing in real time (speed/RPM/lambda ect) -> Whatever sensors have been wired into your vehicles ECU as well as the main elements the ECU is managing can be displayed. Examples include speed/rpm/pressure sensors/temperature sensors, Ethanol content %, Lambda...typically anything you have wired to the ECU can be displayed.

A – For CAN based stock ECUs, we can display whatever the manufacturer has wired to the stock ECU. This typically includes Speed, RPM, Coolant Temp, IAT, Battery Voltage, Oil Temp and then becomes vehicle/ECU specific for data-sources such as oil temp/pressure, steering wheel angle ect.

For serial ECUs (Apexi, Nissan Consult, OBD2) the sensor outputs vary by both car and ECU combination and depends what the manufacturer has wired to the ECU. For example, some vehicles running a Power FC will see a boost reading (example Supra), however an R33 Skyline with a MAF sensor will not provide a boost reading to the ECU that can be displayed. Typically speaking we can always show RPM, speed, coolant temperature and battery voltage; with a variety of other sensor outputs possibly available depending on a variety of variables.

Q – My ECU isn’t listed. How do I get in on this?
A – If it is a CAN based ECU, email info@powertunedigital.com with your request.
Q – Where are you located?
A – The unit ships from Queensland, Australia.
